How to reply depends a bit on how confident you are about normal copy and pasting of files on your computer.
Some people are happy with instructions like, "Just extract the files from the zip and paste them into your map folder on the TomTom", while others may need to be told every tiny step - like what happens when they click the right mouse button on a file on their PC.
Basically, if you've managed it once already, updating is just a matter of downloading the latest data files and pasting them into the map folder of your XL replacing the ones you've already put on before.
But before we get carried away, have you read the instructions already written?
There are written ones HERE, and there's a video walkthough of doing it HERE.
Try one of those and tell us if you have any problems. |

Once you've got the individual files extracted from the single download archive, you just copy them into the map folder where you put the first lot. windows will bring up a box warning you and asking if you want to overwrite old files with newer ones with the same name. Just say "Yes to All" and it should do just that.
You shouldn't need to re-do all the warnings set-up. |
