I've noticed recently that the traffic icon goes grey both on a 255T and a 765T. I've got a full trafficmaster sub on both. Any ideas please?

Many thanks,

Allan

This is a fairly long story.

When the 1xxx series units first arrived they had a slightly different traffic system that included a grey icon to denote when the FM signal was poor, just to let you know that it wasn't receiving current traffic data.

Most users found that the grey icon appeared far too often, probably not when the signal dropped it wasn't re-showing it when restored. We all assumed there was some kind of bug in the software.

This same system was introduced with a firmware update on most of the other units recently with apparently the same results.

HOWEVER...

A firmware update for the 1xxx series was released a couple of days ago and appears to have rectified the problem, with the grey icon only showing when it should, i.e. when there really is no traffic signal.

I would expect that this should also be updated for the 2xx and 7xx series pretty soon.

Thanks for that. I will update my units when I get back then.
