Advance warning of a bunch of new cameras on the A12 from Witham north and along the Kelvedon bypass.
There are a number of what look like specs poles which have appeared overnight ready for the roadworks that are due from the 27th November for 13 weeks. No cameras on them yet but the poles are up.
It's tricky for me to mark the locations on the move so perhaps people can keep their eyes out and get them marked and added as quickly as possible. |

A Verifier will make a visit, reject your submission, and be annoyed. You may well delay the addition of the cameras to the database by submitting them early. A Verifier may well be less inclined to visit the same spot again, if they know they have already had a wasted visit, particularly if it has involved a detour and wastage of their own time and fuel! _________________ Jock

Extract from Highways agency press release
The work will take place 24 hours a day, except for the Christmas and New Year holiday period, and is expected to be completed in Spring 2009. Lane closures will be in place overnight and a 50mph speed limit will be in force 24 hours a day for the duration of the works. The speed limit restriction will be enforced using average speed check cameras. |

Failing that, PLEASE put a comment with the submission saying what the current state of the installation is. We do read your comments and it saves confusion/misunderstanding and potentially rejected submissions!
Also, those contributors who accurately mark the positions and double check them in Google Earth are a massive help to us because we can just do a drive-by and think "yep, that one's bang on the mark" rather than having to make multiple passes to check and correct the positions. _________________ Gone fishing! |

The cameras have all appeared and the speed limit is posted (50mph) so they could do with marking now. I really can't do it with my device as there are so many of them and it takes a while to mark each one. |

For your info 5 out of the 6 cameras are in the latest release 6.115 that came out on Wednesday. I have verified all 6 in fact, but one is still to appear.
MaFt has the info and I am assuming that this one will be included in 6.116 |
sorry guys but there won't ever be a 6.116 release...
MaFt
ps - there will, however, be a 6.121 release |
