Updated my 940 last night with new maps etc and after it kept rebooting. Following lots of advice on here I have tried to refomat, reinstall the orignal files etc. But not sucess. It just hangs on the hands screen. I can see the files via explorer and I can access it via tt home. Any ideas or is it dead? |

Have you tried deleting mapsettings.cfg?
Have you tried running a Windows checkdisk on it?
Are you using the internal mem or a SD Card?
The other thing could be that your map download is corrupt - can you extract the downloaded zip file with WinRAR without errors?
If so, overwrite all of the files in the map folder with your manually extracted files. |

It must be less than a year old. Send it back under warranty! _________________ Device: GO 600, Live connected via iPhone 5.

My money is on the mapsettings.cfg file. The emulator fix works sometimes but if you have the latest TT Home the x40 dll hasn't been released yet so it doesn't work. |

Is the new HOME emulator dll out for the latest 940 Navcore?
Having gone over to the darkside of the XL LIVE I have not been keeping my eye out on the GO threads lately. |

Unless the situation chnaged over the weekend but it doesn't work with mine... |

So the fix would be delete mapsettings.cfg and currentmap.dat and try again.
Seeing as HOME 2.7 doesn't seem too reliable at installing all of the map files I would do a manual install of the map as well just to make sure - at least you know all of the files are on the device then! |
