|
|
Hi-I am running a Go Classic. I have been using the database from this site for years trouble free. I have just bought the updated UK and ROI maps from the TT website, map version: v830.2306. For me to do this the TT website wanted me to install TT Home, which I did successfully and then wanted to update my firmware to version: 7.903. I then finally got my new map to work and loaded up the camera database to the GB map. When I go into the menu setting 'Warn when near POI' the database cannot be found. Looking at drive F on my PC, its all there. I no longer have an option on my TT Classic to 'enable POI'...Any ideas oh clever ones? TIA |

Have you tried a Pin-in-the-Hole Reset? _________________ Richard

Just tried that to no avail. It seems funny that this problem has occured since installing TT Home, updating the firmware and then installing the new map. Any further ideas? |

How many other Custom POI files have you installed to the new map as there is a limit to the quantity before things start to go wrong.
You should be using Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn when near POI to set up the camera warnings, I think the enable POI is now only accessed from the Browse map options, try setting the Warn When Near POI option and do the speed cameras show up from this menu selection? - Mike |

Mike thanks for your reply. When I tap: change preferences/manage POI/warn when near POI, it brings up the list of POIs. None of the camera warning are on this list!! The camera warnings (OV2 and BMP) are all on the TT when I browse it on my PC. Very confused now?? |

Can you recheck which folder the camera POI files are in, they need to be in the new v830 map folder, its possible you might have two map folders on the device depending upon the update and what TT Home decided to do if the storage card was large enough.
Also double check which map you have selected as active, Change Preferences/ Manage Maps/ Switch Map and see which it offers, it could be you have the files and map all in the correct place but not selected in software - Mike |
