Speed camera database

Hi All, I own a Garmin 600 series and am confused as to which make to click on to download speed cameras to the unit can any one out there tell me which I click on to download .

Garmin POILoader is the one for your device which you install to the nav unit / SD card by using the POILoader software free from Garmin - Mike

Thank you for your quick reply however I already have the POI loader I suppose I di not make myself clear.

My question should have been. I want to download and update my camera database but I find it confusing as to which make I should click on when I visit the GPS world database. It does not show my Nuvi in the list but I am sure it must be there..can you help with that?

It doesn't matter which Nuvi you have got they all use the Speed Camera database for POILoader - Mike

Hi Mike, have just watched your Video on the Garmin POI Loader and how to install..It was great and easy to understand..I did find the bit about choosing from feet and MPH difficult to grasp since I live in France and I thought that if you choose MPH or KPH within the Garmin unit itself that that was the way to do it...is this not the case?

The Mike who posted above is not the 'Mike' who created the video!

The selection of KPH/MPH in POILOader defines the speed at which warnings are triggered and is wholly separate from the MPH/KPH settings on the device.

If you load a MPH database (the UK one) and do not choose MPH in POILoader then you will get warnings at 19mph rather than 30 and so on.

If you use a EURO database that is in KPH, you must ensure you select KPH in PPILoader or the reverse issue would occur.
