Can anyone confirm that roaming access is available now for new subscriptions? I didn't extend my 3 month trial, since i needed to have RDS_TMC for the continent anyway, but accoring to http://www.tomtom.com/page/LIVE_abroad it says
Quote: | Not renewed your LIVE subscription yet?
Are you not yet a LIVE subscriber? Renew your LIVE Services now and your device will also receive the services in the other LIVE countries. It is as simple as that, no fuss…no extra costs. You still pay only £7.99 per month. |
Usual tomTom amgiguous staement! I'd read it as saying if I renew now I get roaming now. Anyone know for certain? _________________ Go740L App 9.510 Europe 985.8155

This is strange. According to TomTom last week at the press launch they said that new XL Live systems would be covered in all 5 countries, but existing X40 users would not get the benefit of the roaming until later in the year.
They were also very vague about the coverage for speed cams or if that would just be traffic. _________________ Mike Barrett |

I understand that, but the difference (I think) is that I don't at present have a live supscription. My trial expired a couple of months ago. I could ask TomTom, but I thought I'd get a more accurate answer here I'm assuming that if they've got to go through the process of reactivating my sim anyway, adding roaming would be automatic now. _________________ Go740L App 9.510 Europe 985.8155

When my Live Services ran out the SIM was not deactivated, they only barred me from accessing their servers. Maybe after a longer period they would deactivate the SIM?
I renewed after that web page was published but saw nothing about roaming in the emails. _________________ Drivelux |
