Im sure people have a ipod,When you buy the power adapter plug all you do is plug in the usb lead into the plug then you can charge it in the wall at home,Would it be safe to do the same with my 720?

Yes, works fine. It's a standard 5v and so will charge any USB chargeable device.

You will probably find it charges the Go quite slowly (so does connecting to a PC).
The car charger is faster.

I use an iPod charging cable to charge my 540 and it charges no problem. Can't say i've ever noticed if it takes longer than via the car charger, but I'll check next time, thanks Andy_P!
