Hi all
Having just views a bike route from my Active 10 I was surprised by the amount of large corners which were cut off my route and just shown as a straight line between two points. My speed was not that fast as to account for me taking the corner within 4 seconds which I believe to the time for each update.
Anyone else come across this and any suggestions on a fix ?

Are you looking at the converted .map file or the full "raw" file?
Also, which software version do you have on your A10? |

Thanks for the reply.............
I am using the smaller file of the two I did wonder what the raw data was ?
Software version was update 6 weeks ago so i presume I have the lastest.

The raw file contains vastly more data, hence the much larger file size. The .map file is fine for recording tracks as you walk, but as you've found, a cyclist typically covers the ground just a bit too fast for the trail trackpoints, especially in powersave mode, when fewer are recorded. Although you get a perfectly usable record, it can cut corners a bit. It also depends how you are viewing your recorded tracks. I use the raw file and throw it up onto Memory Map. If I want to keep it and I want smaller files, I can filter down the trackpoint numbers in M. Map.

If you look in Settings/About it will display the software version. You should now be on version 1.323. |

It will also depend upon your power saving options. With these you can have a setting where you are logging only every 4 seconds - fine for walking but noticeable on a bike.
