Hi. I have downloaded some poi's from Arches web site. In the installation instructions it says to unzip the files and to place them beside "cline.dat aso"
How do I do that? I open tt in explorer, open the map folder, find cline.dat but if I hover the mouse anywhere near it any folder near it is highlited and so I would assume that if I then pasted, the files would go in the highlited folder? Any help would be appreciated.

You're in the right place!
All those instructions mean (although badly worded!) is to put the poi files in the same folder where you find cline.dat - i.e. your named map folder.
So for example, you may have a folder called "western_Europe"
and inside that folder will be:
cline.dat
cname.dat
faces.dat
etc
etc
yourpoi1.ov2
yourpoi1.bmp
yourpoi2.ov2
yourpoi2.bmp
etc
etc
Each POI consists of two files - the .ov2 which is the data, and a.bmp which is the icon picture on-screen. |

The POIs don't need to be "beside" the cline.dat file, just in the same folder as this file (named after the map that you have, e.g. Western Europe, UK and Ireland, etc). drop them anywhere in this folder, and it should be OK. Look at the FAQs here, particularly number 4 for a full explanation of how to install POIs (NB PGPSW Speed Cameras are just a POI file, so the process is exactly the same.
I don't know "Arches web site", but there are lots of POIs available from here. _________________ Garmin DriveSmart 50 LMT-D |

Thank you AndyP and daggers. I have installed poi's before so I was confused with the wording!! OK now.
Arches web site is for camping sites and the ones I have downloaded are all within 15km of motorways in Europe.
