Yes, no problem. The PGPSW database sits on your device in tandem with its Garmin database, and either can be switched on or off on the unit.
It's probably easier to keep the PGPSW database separate on an SD card, assuming your device takes one (rather than juggling with its internal memory). [SD cards and card readers/writers are really cheap nowadays]. When the device prompts you to install new POIs from the SD onto the device, always answer NO!
The simple instructions are here . But in my experience, it is worth browsing this forum for a while, to get into the swing of things.
Any problems, just post back. This forum is just great for giving help.

DALES thanks for the info re downloading the speed cameras on to a garmin 265 WT.
the machine does have an sd slot.
have downloaded the info to the desk top as per the instructions.
How do you then transfer those files on the desk top to the sd instead of the device memory. I am a bit frightened to carry this out in case i screw up.; told you i wasnt much good at all with computors.
I have noticed that the icon on the desktop contains numerous files and thats as far as i have got.
Thanks for your continued help.. as i am hopeless can you please guide me step by step? Sorry.. Mickle. |

There is a full detailed step by step guide here which dales had already provided above. Try starting with that and see how you go.... |
