I am trying to submit a 'seen again' mobile sighting but am having trouble finding the ID number for the camera to complete the submission form.

It may be that I'm missing something, but when I press the 'submit' button I am informed to put in the ID that appears on the top left of the map but I'm damned if I can see it!

I seem to remember that if you clicked or hovered over the picture of a camera type it brought up the ID!

Is there an alternative list I can check or might it be an idea to put the mobile ID on the picture of each camera to aid identification and filling out the form?

Please put me out of my misery and tell me I'm not going totally stupid!!

Thanks

Locate the camera on the Google Submission map, click-it and the CameraID should be shown at top left of the map?

Cheers Darren

If I find an icon that is already on the map I get the ID in the top left hand corner of the map as advised!

However, where I am trying to report the sighting there is what looks like a motorcycle helmet with eyes underneath! I assumed that this was a camera icon of some type but obviously I am wrong as this will not bring up any ID on the map.

I suppose this begs the question that if I report a new sighting do I get the ID by selecting the camera type in the form?

Thank God it's Friday!

If it's not on the map it is a new sighting and so you won't need nor would you find an existing ID.

I can't imagine what it is you are seeing on the map though!

Nothing at that location so that would need to be reported as a new sighting rather than a 'seen again'.

Can you give me the Lat/Lon of this mysterious Icon you're seeing?

The map is at full zoom.

I copied this off the map where the icon is, if it helps any ,there are several near the junction of Shelford Road and Clumber Drive in Radcliffe on Trent.

Ah do you mean these blue icons?

They're actually part of the Google Map Data and represent bus stops Laughing

I must admit, I spent some time trying to work out what they were too. Luckily, I saw them on the standard Google map first, so I knew they were nothing to do with the PGPSW cameras.

I wish they would put them on a separate "layer" like they can do in Google Earth. There are so many of them it gets quite distracting and I can't see any way to "turn them off".

I don't think so. Far more likely quite a lot of people wonder what they are too and you've cleared it up for them. When I first found them I didn't have the nerve to ask, so I worried about them for a long time before I eventually guessed bus stops. Rolling Eyes
