If i Prepare a Route from A to B and then go to enter a Via Point there are coloured symbols next to some of my Favourites (saved as a POI file)

The Blue ones seem to be the start and finish but i can't work out what the yellow one means.

Also does my memory deceive me or is there a green one too?

As I recollect, it has to do with degree of deviation from the main road. Amber would be minimal deviation and I think there is a red one that reflects a major deviation from the main road.

Something like that, anyway ............. Confused

The straight blue/green symbol indicates that the waypoint will be within a few hundred yards of the route.

The offset yellow means it's in the right general direction, but could be up to a mile or so off the original route.

The offset red, in older versions, used to indicate that it may not be a viable waypoint as it was way off your route. I don't think it is used now.

Ah now a mile makes more sense and confirms what dhn said! I imagined that it meant it was close to the route but not up to a mile. I was thinking a few hundred meters...

However i thought i found a funny instance when i was trying a route out yesterday but I'll have to look later to see what happened....

Thank you Oldboy and dhn.
