I've noticed that when I use Mapsonic in navigation mode, when I approach a junction it gives a warning alert like 'In 200 metres turn left', and then as I get to the junction it gives a final alert: 'Turn left'.
But when I configure it to display miles per hour, as opposed to kpm, there is no warning alert, just the final alert. Can anyone confirm that this is a general problem, or has my installation got screwed up?
I might try re-installing it, although that may destroy my personal POIs. Does anyone know which file contains the personal POIs?
I noticed this too, ended up leaving it in metric. It does give you the approach alert too, but it doesn't give you any idea of distance (i.e. it leaves of the "In 200 meters" part). Quite confusing in practice.
Hoping this software will mature a bit, as apart from a few niggles, It's the best one I've seen.
