Welcome to the forum, try resetting the device using a paperclip in the reset hole on the base of the device, now start the unit and what does it do - can you describe the screen shown on the device if it doesn't start up correctly - Mike

There is nothing on the screen at all.
The battery is fully charged, the green light comes on when docked to the computer.
If I press the reset button what will happen to my latest map guarantee.

The reset button just restarts the unit, it does not affect any data at all.

Have you installed them to the correct location? Where did you copy them to on your device?

I followed the online Instructions (I think) i copied them directly on to the internal memory off the Tom Tom.

Have I done it wrong ?

The Speed Camera files should be placed in to the map folder on the device the folder will be named "Western And Central Europe" - Mike

Depends which instructions and where 'exactly'? The file you downloaded should have been extracted to reveal the files contained within and these should have been copied to the Western_Europe Map folder.

The guide is here.

Connect to your computer, do not connect to TT home.

Use windows explorer and click on the drive that is displaying your TomTom, you should now see all the files that you put on, just delete them.

Assuming you are using windows of course.

The files you are looking for will have a name starting with
"pocketgps_uk........" the quantity and exact file names will depend upon which version of database you have downloaded - Mike
