Hi all
Just realised my 540 is only syncing 23 out of the 32 phonebook entries on my phone (nokia E50).
the phone says copied 32 out of 32 but the 540 onlky shows 23.
Does anyone else have this problem or am i missing something simple?
many Thanks

You can edit the file used for storing the phone book on your PC, connect the device to the PC and use Windows Explorer to locate the "contacts" folder and then the "contacts.txt" file within it.
You can open this using notepad on the PC and add the extra details to the list, save the file and you will have the missing details on the TomTom.
Whilst this is a work around rather than a true fix, it is probably the fastest way for you to add the missing 9 entries - Mike |

I wouldn't say it is a known fault as such, any data transfer using Bluetooth between the TomTom and a mobile device should work, but there are so many variables that it could be the phone, the software on the phone or the TomTom that is causing the issue.
The ability to edit the phone book file using the PC is just a work around getting you to the point you should be had the transfer worked in the first place - Mike |
