|
|
I have tried many times to switch off the advance route warnings on my Go 720 with no success.
Whether ticked or not, the selection box setting make no difference.
Such a pain when I know the route, but just want camera warnings and not the annoying "turn right, left etc."
Anyone help? There must be a fix for this.
Thanks

Have you looked at all the choices in 'voice preferences'? _________________ David |

Including "Disable Voice"?? (assuming you haven't typed your camera warnings for TTS). _________________ Dennis

Incidentally, "Read aloud warnings" is NOT the navigation instructions - it's a very few things, like telling you that your phone is connected. _________________ Dennis

If you know the route and just want the camera warnings don't use the "navigate to" function. The unit will just show where you are and give camera announcements.
Your "warn when near poi" needs the "warn only if POI is on route" check box cleared for the warnings to work when not navigating. You may get a few warnings from cameras nearby but off route, but usually they are not a major bother. _________________ Drivelux |

Am trying the Disable Voice function.
Problem is I usually want the Traffic updates enabled so disable voice will also affect this fucntion.
The tick box that does not work is "Disable early warning instructions ("ahead, turn left") |

For myself, I have the voice disabled and the Traffic settings to "Beep when Traffic changes" - so I get no navigation instructions, but a loud double beep when a traffic situation is identified. _________________ Dennis
