USA camera downloads

I have a garmin nuvi670 with europe and usa maps. I use the garmin POI loader to download updates. Why is it when I download the USA camera database it automatically wipes my UK camera database. Can I not have them both stored on my sat-nav at the same time. ?. I am new to gps and forums so not that savvy. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

hi and welcome

the garmin poiloader software automatically clears any custom pois when you add new ones. the only way around this is to put ALL your csv/bmp files in teh same folder and then install them all together using poi loader.

You can save POI's in their own sub-folder.

What I do is have a Folder (POI) on my PC. Into this I load the PGPSW camera database csv/bmp/mp3 files.

I then create folders in here for other POI's (eg ATM) into which I place the relevant csv/bmp.

Run POILoader and point it at the top level.

When it has finished you will get folders (e.g. ATM) in the POI section of the nuvi. It makes the area a little more organised and simpler to get to what you want. If you have the speed-zoned cameras there are a lot of POI categories showing and this can be a pain if you are looking for a specific POI category.
