Which GPSs are you looking at? I believe that most will do what you want. |

Well, for sure the TomToms do it. On a screen it can be quite difficult to get exactly the pinpoint you require, so you are better off tapping an on-screen keyboard for City name, then Street name, then house number. Personally my favourite is Postcode. But if sticking a stylus into a map is your preference, they'll do it and like the man says, I wouldn't be surprised if they all do. _________________ Dennis

Further to my last, Igo based GPSs (Igo, MioMap etc) all allow a map input. Its my prefered method of entry. |

Typical scenario for me: I drive for pleasure some weekends and perhaps am on one road and want to check something out some other place, perhaps I also want to travel one part of the route via some road. I'd point to my detination on the map and also want to set/point to a waypoint on the road i want to travel.
Know what I mean?
Then I have the GPS to make life easier so I dont miss badly signposted turnings, etc... |
