Want to download North America maps and want to get a big enough SD card.
How large a size will a Tomtom 720 work with please, also when downloading with Home does Home put the maps on the SD card or do you have to tell it to, as there is not enough room in internal memory. Many thanks. |

Up to 4GB SD cards, or more in SDHC (I have 8GB SDHC) but over 4GB you need the latest application version for the device to be able to write to it.
With card in device, connect to Home and select to use the external memory, then go through the map purchase, download and installation and it'll go on the card. _________________ Dennis

You can go all the way to 32GB if you really need a huge amount of storage on the device for music, video, pictures and maps. This size of card is available but rather costly compared to the 8 or 16GB see Here - Mike |

Make sure you get the NA map with the cspeech.dat files. You may be offered 2 different maps. Go for the larger one. _________________ David |
