Hi

I have downloaded a number of your FREE POIs. I have a TomTom 740, I am on a Mac. I can see the internal drive of my TomTom. Do I just copy all of the ov2 and BMP files into the root POI folder and thats it?

The files in that folder are in a different format ... .

Thanks

Paste the .bmp and .ov2 files only, into your map folder.

But into the Folder of the Map you are currently using. Probably called Western and Central Europe.

You may have a Folder called simply map. Ignore this one.

Hi

Ah! found it, also found some other instructions. However since doing that my 740 wont boot. Gets to splash screen and reboots. I installed about 30 POI main groups as individual files (not grouped). Is there a limit to what can be used?

There is a limit but it's near 200 and exceeding that would not cause the unit to lock up, merely prevent the POIs from appearing on the map.

What 'other instructions' did you find and where? We need to know what you did exactly before we can assist you but don't worry as most issues are recoverable!

Can you see the device as a mounted drive on your desktop now?
