I had a worrying problem with the Satmap that thankfully cleared with a restart. The Joystick had lost the idea of zero demand and was drifting constantly. Is this a frequent problem or just a one off? |

Westlothian,
Not 100% sure to what you are referring, but I wondered if you meant for example if you were stationary in one position then the SatMap tends to "drift",putting snail trail blobs away from your position.
If so there is reference to it in the on-line manual,Section 11.
Apologies if I have got the wrong end of the stick.

It was while reviewing an imported route for profile of altitude to check suitability.
The pointer kept drifting left to right despite attempts to settle it to rest at zero. The problem cleared after a restart - presumably recalibrating the force joystick. |

Apologies for hi-jacking Westlothians thread but whilst looking at the possible solution to his ( her? ) problem I noticed in the on-line manual that it says for a faster satellite lock, get the lock and THEN insert the map card.
Not seen this mentioned previously.

Perhaps that is to what I am referring but you had the trail blobs turned off ??

I imported a straight line route from live maps to check a line of sight for 2 pts.
It showed no profile so I had to trace over it with intermediate points.
This then showed altitudes at the keyed points - so far so good!
After a short while the cursor started to drift by itself L to R.
(Presumably lost its zero calibration) |
