Given all the problems around 8.3 on x20s I've decided to wait until the sales to grab a bargain. I beleive that this year...even more than others....there will be better sales than before. Depends on when though...some will plump for before Christmas to generate sales and other will wait unbtil post Boxing Day...its going to be a desperate year for retailers...and many online sites but good for us. I will try and pick up a 730 for a great price or failing that an XL V2......
..or..shock a Garmin..or Navigon even. Lets see who will be the most desperate... _________________ TomTom 720

Don't blame you for waiting for a bargain. Mind you could a full featured sat nav with Europe maps ever sell for less than £153 + £6 p&p, as it is now? Be interesting to see. |

Or for £140 +£11.95 delivery...if you mean the 720 ?
You can already get the Navigon 2210 for £99.99 reduced from £134 from Amazon and that has full European AND TTS And free map upgrades. I only mention thembecause after a shaky start a year or so ago they seem to have got their act together and their kit looks well made and by all reports works very well and they actually have support that talks to you. TT better pull their socks up....
Its a good point though and the interesting thing will be how low these prices can go given the current economic problems. Ultimately revenue will be king in the short term...and some of the new models in all the brands may be ripe for a price cut. Who will crack first is the question...and which retailer will just "go for it" ? Sat Nav holds up well normally but then so did DVDs a while back. _________________ TomTom 720
