I can't get on with the sticky active mount that came with my 940. Has anybody found something suitable that will fix to a Brodit Proclip yet please?

Bit early for custom solutions as yet. You could use one of the adhesive discs, stick that to the ProClip and then use the x40 mount to affix to that.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was thinking along those lines but my proclip is not at a suitable angle for the active mount and the mount won't swivel in the right direction.

I know Carcomm are working on a cradle which I'm eagerly awaiting. Brodit will doubtless have one on the drawing board too.

In the meantime, how about using the disc attached to the dashboard?

I would assume you would need a flat, vertical surface to use the discs on the dash? Sadly I have nothing like that in my car.

I'd have thought there was enough room on the dash top between speedo cluster and centre console for a disc?

Plenty but I can't seem to get the active mount to twist to the right angle which would enable horizontal mounting.

? I have my 940 on the dashtop of my car affixed to a disc mounted horizontally? It works fine in that orientation. The actual dock can be rotated 360º With the 'foot' in the horizontal plane and the arm curving towards you rotate the dock until it is orientated with sync port facing up?

Very Happy Is there enough adjustment for this to fit on your ProClip with a dash disc now then?

Yes it was just a bit stiff. I have it to the right angle now. I don't suppose you know of any shops that would sell the discs rather than wait for online delivery?

That would be nice. I have ordered a couple for collection from John Lewis on Saturday. Fingers crossed I will be sorted until a custom mount appears.

If you want a true custom mount make your own, its not difficult and I am sure the x40 mount would yield in a similar way to what I did with the x20 last year, see Here Unless you need connections for something other than power - Mike
