Tomtom 530t - Problem

The thing freezes when it goes to navigate to the postcode and restarts after about 30 seconds. Eg, it's got a signal and starts ok, so then i go to put the postcode all ok, i hit done and it just stops and then restarts. Now after it restarts and i look in recent destination there is no record of it.
Then after i leave it alone on just on the map with no destination inputed it just restarts it self after 5 Min's and keeps on doing so. it has also wiped out my favourites so i put them back in and it wiped them out again.

So tonight i disconnected the tmc thing and it seems not to have do it. But the graphics have seemed to have gone very slow when loading the route home.

any ideas please.

Are you sure the RDS-TMC connector was fully inserted, these can take considerable force to insert and if not fully home they can short out the mating connector leading to strange behaviour - Mike

Maybe as it a tmc and power mount thing, ill have alook in the morning.

I think i should have read some other post first and now have. Thank you to all who respond to other peoples problems :-).

I did the flash thing and a factory reset as has been said for other people to try. Ill leave an update in a week or so if it worked.
