My latest download to my 920 downloaded a UK and IE plus major roads of WE map.
The instructions say copy the database files to the Western and Central Europe folder. Is that still correct or should I use the UK and IE folder?
Thanks

Hm, I tried to select the map, was told I had to activate it, I've done everything right, activation code failed. I've got all the upgrades I can get.

The speed cam database or indeed any POI files need to be in the map folder for the map you use. If you use the UK & Eire map then place them in there, if you use the Western_Europe map then copy them there, if you use both and switch between them then place them in both
With regard to the activation issue, HOME would normally activate the map, where did it come from? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks. That makes sense. Home gave me the option of downloading it, I have no idea why. I'd just upgraded Home and TomTom though.

I'd check the version of the map, as a 920 user you should not be offered a UK map and it may well be an older version (a known bug with HOME).
Stick you to your WE maps! _________________ Darren Griffin |

It's version 6.7, I guess I'll just delete it.
Thanks for the help.

For anyone else with similar issues....
"Home" had a bit of a fit for a week or two recently, and started offering every old map you had ever bought for any device.
Unfortunately, it also offered some old postcode files, so if you agreed to download those, you will have lost your proper postcodes data.
To get them back you simply paste the "zip" folder from a recent, previous backup over the top of your present version. |

This is also the first version of home to look at the title line in the .pna file in the map folder. If you edit the .pna file to show a map title that is more to your liking home will offer you a different selection of maps to download. _________________ Paul |
