garmin nuvi 310 european map help

hi,
i have a garmin nuvi 310 with uk and ireland on it.
i want to get european maps for it. have bought a blank sd card too.
do i just buy the dvd with garmin city navigator 2008 and download the maps from it?
or am i missing something?

If it's running V9 UK and Ireland then all you need is the upgrade DVD to 2008NT Europe and off you go. In practical terms I think you would upgrade the unit to 2008NT UK&I (as there isn't room for a whole lot more) then put your additional mapping onto an SD card. There is s/w on the upgrade disc to make this simple.
