I have had my HP 2210 for about 4 years - just gathering dust. Is this still viable to use? Or if not can I install other satnav software instead of tomtom? I also have a wired gps reciever in the car (can this still be used?) Its not been used for that long that the battery drained and wiped off the tomtom software (and can I find the installation disks??)

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi rs10,

Welcome to the forum! Thumbs Up

The HP h2210 is still a very good PDA for SatNav. If you used the Spite backup software then you should be able to use TomTom Navigator again. A wire GPS receiver should be OK.

I use a BT GPS receiver and data/software on the CF Card. I use the following software on my h2210:

TomTom Navigator 6
McGuider (SD card)
Speed Sentry

Regards,

Still got mine and use it occasionally. I settles on a CF slot GPS and data on SD card, works fine with TTN6 and Memory-Map.

Thanks for the information - to clarify though can I still use the wired gps receiver with tomtom 6? or would I need an early version instead?

You can still use wired receivers.

i still use a 2210 with a realtek sapphire wired gps

As the device is getting on a bit now, the tom tom maps are getting a little out of date on it, whats the latest maps that will still work on the aging 2210?

Assuming that you're using TomTom Navigator 6, then the latest maps avaiable for you to use are:

Arrow Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland v6.75 (£29.95)
Arrow Map of Western Europe v6.75 (£39.95)

Information obtained from TomTom, here.

Regards,
