New Maps and installation

I intend to purchase the new maps for my TT720. Is there a sticky for the installation of the maps that I can read. I think I read on the forums that you remove the existing one before installing the new one. If someone can post a link I would appreciate it.

Home seems to handle that all now, deleting the old map if it needs to to make room and even copying your POIs into the new map.
You might still lose your favourites though.

Both the above mean it is VITAL that you make a full backup with Windows Explorer first, before you do anything else. Then you can recover if anything goes wrong and also re-copy the MapSettings.cfg file if you need to get your favourites back.

Thanks Andy_P If thats the case then I can start the download later tonight. I aasume it is an unattended process? Will do another backup now.
