Yes, this is how I mount my Nuvi in two cars.
Expansys sell them www.expansys.com and www.mymemory.co.uk have the Hama version
Watch for the fact that they are fractionally bigger than the Garmin version(unless I got a duff one) and this made it wery stiff.
I broke mine , reinforced it with a screw down the shaft and "polished" it with Brasso until I got a smooth movement .
I've never understood why the Herbert Richter system is not more widespread. I have the plate for my phone and simply swap them depending on whether I need navigation or not. |

HR only ever sold to OEM's and other re-branders (Hama re-brand HR product) but they have finally decided to sell direct and launched at IFA this year.
We will soon be able to buy HR mounts, adapters and all the other accessories through some major outlets in the UK. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren,
It's all available from Expansys now - and has been for months.
But certainly more widespread availability would help to spread the word - it might even generate enough interest for them to supply more device specific mounts - at the moment it's only high end smartphones (plus GPS devices ) - avoids the need for the frankly tacky suction mounts.
Combined with a car specific Brodit Proclip you're now able to have a much more "fitted" device. |

Expansys are acting as an OEM partner here, buying the mounts in bulk and selling, they are not alone, other sites do the same.
What I was referring to was the new move to sell packaged mounts in high street stores, this is quite different and new for HR. _________________ Darren Griffin |
