I am totally new to the world of gps. I have an iPAQ 2210 with a 256 MB sd card and I am considering buying a GPS receiver and mapping software. I will be using the gps system mainly in the car, but will on occasion need handheld use. I am currently looking at tomtom3 or Destinator3 software and considering some form of CF GPS receiver. I am based in Yorkshire but travel around the UK and on occasion Western Europe. Any recommendations/ Help would be greatly appreciated

Have you considered a BT GPS receiver rather than a CF based one? With CF you will always have the conflict between you needing to see the PDA screen and the CF GPS needing to get as good of a sky view as possible. Plus, your windshield may be tinted... A BT receiver works equally well from the back of your car...
