| How do I download my Favorites from my C550 to my PC, I cant even find them on the unit. I need to make a POI from one of my favorites. |

Don't know the C550 but the nuvi(s) have their favs stored in current.gpx. It's in \GARMIN\GPX\ on the nuvi.
You should be able to get he infor from here using something like POIEdit

I'm puzzled: If there's "nothing in it" ... how can there be lots of 'strange file extensions'?
...and just how strange are these extensions?  |

Sorry the GPX folder is empty but there are other files in RemoteSW .GCD file extention and in the main garmin folder .SUM
I don't understand why there is a GPX folder but nothing is ever put in this.folder
PaulB2005 tried easygps but there's nothing for it to download |

Other people have reported this - but my own C510 has never done it -- possibly because it's running ancient firmware.
Possible cures seem to revolve around making sure it has a satellite fix before plugging in the USB, or powering it on by plugging in the USB, rather than when it's already up and running. (I realise they're somewhat contradictory) |
