How easy is it to use TT6 with the Palm receiver on the 750V? I have the installed TT application, which runs fine but cannot get it to connect to the Palm receiver i.e. no GPS receiver detected. You would have thought Palm with Palm etc......
It pairs fine, bluetooth wise. Is there somewhere a detailed setup guide that gives incoming/outgoing COM port settings etc.
I am rusty on this Windows Mobile 5 thing as it has been a while since I used it!
Thanks

It's been a very long time since I owned/used a Palm. Is the Palm receiver compatible with TT, does the 750 detect the GPS when attached and is there any applet supplied with it to confirm it is functioning? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Have you actully set an out going comm port after you created the connection between the GPS and the Palm which is using Windows Mobile 5, there is a setup guide for creating the connection on a different set of hardware which can be found from the TomTom one, Go, rider forum index, sticky threads which is labeled as FAQ perhaps that might be of use - Mike |

Thanks Darren and Mike, found that and will give that a go. Amazing how lazy you get after owning a 720/730 where all the GPS settings are done for you. Long time since I had a WM device with separate GPs receiver!

I'm using TT6 with a Palm Treo 750 without any issues. I didn't have to create any specific ports for it, I just selected the Palm BT GPS as my GPS of choice and it just worked. |

Funnily enough, I played around with these ports etc - threatened it, swore at it then chose - again - the Palm GPS Receiver and low and behold it worked!! As you say, no port setting needed or so it would appear.
Happy bunny now thanks.
