Have updated to latest navcore v8, and spotted today that although an on-screen alert appears for speed cameras, it doesn't make the audible alert anymore.
Have looked in the settings for such a thing but can't find anything relevant.
Any ideas?
Thanks |

Hi groovyf
I have Navcore 8 and all is well.
Go to preferences/ manage POI/ Warn when near POI./ Click on one of the cameras/ Click ‘No' when asked if you wish to remove warning/ Click ok when you have entered the distance/ Choose the sound/ Warn only if POI is on route.
It should work _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Thanks Trevor1234,
Just looking now, and I don't see Speed Camera or Camera as a POI category |

Are you using TomTom Safety Cameras or PocketGPSWorld Speed Cameras on your device?
If it is the TT database you can configure the warnings for safety cameras by tapping TomTom Services/ TomTom Safety Cameras/ Change warning preferences, tap each speed camera in the list and configure your options.
For the PGPSW Speed Camera files configure as per Trevor's instructions, but please check the ov2 and bmp files that are the POI files are resident within the active map folder - Mike |
