Hi

I have a tomtom one V2 with the Western Europe 1GB map. Now I don't need Western Europe (got it as a cheap upgrade from 6.75 about a year ago) and was wondering if the 7.2 upgrade is worth it ( I think I can just about answer my own question, since there are inaccuracies in road mapping near me that have been there since version 6.60. i.e. No) but was just wondering if anyone has done this minor upgrade... or should I perhaps wait until a major Revision like say 7.5?

I'd probably only go with the UK & ROI map as I don't envisage travelling in europe.

Cheers

Andrew

The next major revision is likely to be version 8, and some people are thinking this release is just around the corner for older TomTom devices (soon after the current map sale ends?!)

A version 8 map will allow you to use IQ routing if you have Navcore 8 software also installed on your machine (I'm not sure if this is available for your device yet).

I would have thought that the best thing to do is to wait until these are available before upgrading.

The latest v7 and v8 maps are made from the same data release so they are both identical in terms of road layout and content. The v8 release contains the additional data for IQ Routes and the reality view/ Lane assist.

Version 8 software is not currently available for your TomTom One v2, the most upto date you can use is the v720 map with the latest v7 release software -Mike

Thanks for the info, it is kind of as I thought... I'll wait a week or three. Smile
