A basic question, Please dont laugh

I have just purchased a TomTom XL22 and I would like to know if it is possible to upload the Speed Cameras and POIs from the site.... I have read the FAQ's I understand how to do it and also to turn off the sharing facility, what i want to know is do they work??? before I upload them and make a mess of the system????

The Speed Cameras and other POI files will work fine on your new device, before you add anything to it though I would advise you to make a full Windows Explorer Backup, for information on this have a look through the FAQ page which contains links to lots of answers to questions you are probably thinking about. Many Thanks for that just didnt want to make a mess of it that was all... I used to use a PDA and GPS receiver running tomtom 3 and I knew that they worked fine on there??
