I have just purchased a Fully refurbished Tomtom 910 from Total PDA. The unit has been 100% fully refurbished by Tomtom, with full manufacturer`s warranty,(12 months).
Do you think I could get a free maps upgrade from Tomtom as this is as a new unit! Thanks, Mike. |

You could try, but other than TomTom offering a map for having the cheek to ask for one, I think you will find the answer is no.
The x10 series were never sold with a map update card, and I cannot see them introducing such a system for refurbished devices, what map version is installed on it out of interest? - Mike |

If the original owner of a refurbished TomTom had taken advantage of a 'latest map' offer I doubt that you'd be offered another! |

Hi Mike, Thanks for the reply. It has ver:7.161, how old is that?.
When it arrived everything was sealed as new, I do not think it had been used. Thanks again, Regards, Mike. |

That is the software version not the map version, start the device and tap the sat strength meter lower right corner), on the next page that is displayed is a small box on the right that will say Version 7,161 tap the version box and you will be presented with more information including the map name and version - Mike |

That is quite an old map compared to what is now available, for example there have been five map releases since v660, the latest for your device is v720 - Mike |

It would be worth clicking on latest map guarantee in the HOME tools menu to see what happens. _________________ TT Go Essential |

There is another post in the forum concerning refurbed units where the latest map guarantee is available. Ok the poster is talking about a later model than the 910 however you can only try. |
