Having read elsewhere in another thread that all of the downloaded files that have been used for updating the TT in the past are retained within TomTom/Home/Download/Ephemeris or Safetycameras is it safe to delete all but the last few latest ones just in case they are needed. I have several full windows copies and a spare card that I keep updated every few months, besides normal weekly backups of my PC.

Probably no reason why you couldn't delete them all.
If you need them, the latest set will be downloaded anyway.

But I just had a look on this PC at work, and the 20 QuickFix folders only total about 1.2 MB and the one set of TT speed camera files is just 423 KB, so they aren't really taking up any room at all on today's massive hard-drives.

I have a dedicated hard drive in the PC for GPS data where applications and maps are stored this currently has in excess of 80GB of data on it relating to TomTom, so the files can get quite large when you keep everything. You never know when you might want to use a specific release on a device to troubleshoot a users problem, but for most people keeping just a few files would be fine - Mike

Oh, I realise some of the TT-related files can be pretty large... it's just these two aren't them! Laughing

Many thanks for the replies I have deleted most of them now.

I know that relative to the total disk space they are insignificant but when once upon a time the first hard drive you had was less than 1 gig old habits die hard.
