Hi all.... some 12/18 months ago I purchased a TomTom GO (no number) but now I see that there are many versions of this SatNav. As I wish to purchase accesories I am now confused as to which model it is. I see that there are now memory cards for the Go but as far as I acan see there is no slot for a memory card so more confusion.
I would be very grateful if someone can help me on this.

Many thanks and take care.... Frederick

Look on the underside of the unit and there should be a number (4S.00.000) or similar, if you can post this in a reply we should be able to work out which One you have got.
I fully agree though the numbering and naming of the One range is more than confusing! and could have easily been avoided - Mike

Fred, If that number is correct you have a TomTom 910 which has an internal 20GB hard drive and no card slot it is certainly not one of the TomTom One range!
The 910 was the top of the range device from a couple of years ago. It is still a very credible unit, but the maps are getting a little old these days - What are you looking to add to the device? - Mike

Hi MIke.... many thanks for your reply. I did wonder if it was a 910 but from the pictures in the TomTom site the 910 appeared to be rather slim wheras mine is a rather fat one and bulges at the rear.
I have nothing in mind at the moment to purchase but was thinking of updating the UK maps. I have just updated the France maps as I am going to visit my son in Normandy next tuesday and wanted to play safe so this visit will test the TomTom and see if it is ok.

May I thanks you once again Mike for your help.

Take care.... Frederick

You would be as well updating the maps to the latest Western Europe rather than purchasing UK and France, although as you have the France map you might want just the UK & ROI map which is being discounted to £29:99 at the moment - Mike

Don't forget to make a back up in windows rather than Tomtom home as Home is unreliable before you do any updates

This is more important with a 910 than any other device, the early versions of Home, which included the version supplied with the 910 messed up the LoquendoTTS folder and rendered it useless (well it was recoverable with considerable effort and messing around). If you haven't got a Windows Explorer derived backup of your 910 please do this sooner rather than later - Mike
