I want some new maps of central europe. Tomtom map shop doesn't seem to show them? Are they not available anymore? When was the last one released and what version is this?
Thanks, Rick. |

For what device?
I think you will find that Central Europe has now been lumped with Western Europe.
The latest for the 910 is Ver 720 and for the new 930 the latest AT PRESENT is ver 8.05 as far as i am aware. |

For my One XL and also maybe for my Dads One V2.
He currently has Central europe including scandanavia and Poland, need to check which version though. Its good for us as we have family in Poland, and it allows seamless planning from the UK. Don't think Western Europe has Poland? And Eastern europe cefo doesn't have Germany/Netherlands. |

Ok, for the xl and also V2 the ver720 Eastern Europe maps are available these include Poland. I Can see your point about not being able to have Ger/Nl maps though.
You can also get these on SD card.
I don't really know too much about the xl devices and what possibilities are open to you but i am sure someone here will get you on the right tram. |

Western and Central Europe are still available (try saying you have a Go720 and you'll see them), but TomTom are now not letting you download maps that THEY think you shouldn't use with a particular unit.
It is possible to fool the website by saying you have a different model than what you actually have, and this used to work fine (I guess you must have done this in the past?); but now, in SOME cases, this ends up with a stark message saying something along the lines of "The map you have just bought is not compatible with your device....Tough!"
I wouldn't risk it unless someone else posts to say they have got it to work with the same combination of hardware and maps. |
