Can I access these databases from my Apple computer, running on Mac OS X.5.3? Or can I only use a PC / Windows stuff?
My Garmin Nuvi 205 accesses Garmin perfectly on my Apple. |

I'm sure you can. Several of the PGPSW team are Mac users (they must have done something awful in a previous life! )
TomTom's own "Home" utility still has issues on a Mac, but to install the PGPSW camera database just involves simple copy and paste from the computer to the Go.
If you haven't subscribed yet but want to check it all works, try downloading one of their other POI files (from THIS PAGE - be patient, that page takes a little while to load).
If that's OK then the camera data should be fine too. |

Not a problem.
I'm using 5.3 and a TT710, I don't have any problems.
Latest version of TT Home works fine as well, did have problems with the earlier version, but seems OK at present.
Some of the advice on here refers to 'copying to and from Explorer', yes i was surprised people still use it as well.
Depending on what you will be doing, you will have to hunt around to get Mac compatible POI software, as far as I could make out the ones on here are .exe files which of course only work with PCs.
I don't mean the POI database, but if you want to use POI managers or make your own.
But that's all, _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

Thanks to Andy_P and 253 for your instant and correct advice.
All is well - as far as the computer / downloading part of it goes. Now I must subscribe and get the info into my Garmin.
Very helpful! |

And we both managed to get a little "dig" in about Macs vs. PCs too, so we're ALL happy! |
