I have a One XL and I'm fanatical about backups of everything computer related.
The way I see it with my TomTom One XL the main thing that is all important is the map folder (not saying you shouldn't backup the lot though). If you are computer literate everthing else is obtainable and can be easily replaced.
Is this the case with the other models, I'd be interested to hear, thanks. |

Yes. It's been the same with every TT Model since the beginning. _________________ Richard

I agree in principle, but wouldn't have used the term "easily" replaced!
Collecting together all the individual bits from various sources is a MUCH harder job than just replacing a complete backup.
In fact I tend to do the opposite. I make frequent backups of the whole system MINUS the map folders, to save space.
But then I've probably got about5-6 complete backups INCLUDING the maps as well. |

Thanks for the replies Oldboy and Andy.
I suppose easily is a bit over simplified, although it would be easy for me because I also have loads of backups. But I do take your point perhaps I should have missed out the word 'easily'. Good to know though. |
