How can i make my own maps?

I just bought a Rikaline x7 and would like to use my tungsten with it. I am trying to find map of the Philippines but can't seem to found one so i have to make my own. Cud anyone suggest a good mapping software and maps are to be used in Palm Tungsten T?
Please recommend also which map viewer i can use. Thanks!

either Topographical or Street mapping is ok.

Your best option would be Fugawi which has PalmOS support. You need to source your own paper maps and then you scan and calibrate them for use.
