Tom Tom POIs question please

My dad is looking to get a Tom Tom 730t or a Garmin 760t.

He was looking at the POIs on the tom tom and found alot of them do not have phone numbers attached. For example he had a look at the Golf courses POIs and found that only a couple had phone numbers.

Also is it possible to download POIs with phone numbers from some website that I can just transfer to the tom tom 730t.

Both devices have their good and bad POI categories.
I don't think you can edit the details of the built-in POIs on either brand.
However both models will accept "third-party" POIs from other sources such as this site (see the boxes on the left for the link to the POI downloads.
There are plenty of other POI sites too if you try Googling for them.

As Andy says above 3rd party POIs can be added such as from here. However they'll only contain phone numbers if the submitter included it.

Some companies and associations release their own POIs but again it's up to them to include phone numbers.
