Hi Guys,
Ive had my xda 2, tomtom 2 and 6010 working fine for a couple of months now, but during the last week or so been getting freezes on the gps where it wasnt picking up the correct gps location but an old setting.
To get around this I had to disconnect , unplug my xda etc etc and that seemed to do the trick.
For several reasons I had to do a hard reboot at the weekend and since then I have not been able to get any connection the gps at all. From what I remember i set tomtom to com port 1, as its a normal wired connection, not bluetooth, but as soon as i do this i get an error saying 'comm port cannot be opened'. The light is flashing green as it normally does on the gps.
I have downloaded some of the test software from here, like the gps dashboard but it has exactly the same problem. Besides the issues with the gps, the xda 2 is working fine, it charges in the car, and also syncs fine by usb, so i doubt its the connector on the xda 2.
This narrows the problems down to either the in car connector that plugs into the xda 2, or the gps unit itself.
