Hi Sorry this is a bit long winded but I don't know how else to put it.
Looking on my Go 720 it show's total capacity of 1956.2mb with 148.2mb
of free space. Now here is my problem, I would like to get the v7.20 map update next week ( if the server is working ) so what are my options ?.
At the moment I don't have a sdhc card, should I rush out and buy one or would I have to delete v7.15 first ( after making a backup ) as according Mikealder's posting on the v7.20 Western Europe file size being 1603.8mb. Hope you can understand this.
Alan.

Make a backup using Windows Explorer then update your map, the update process "should" replace the existing map with the new one on the device thus negating the need to have additional storage space.

You don't have to use SDHC style cards as the standard SD will also work in the TomTom products, putting the new map onto the memory card is an option you could consider though - Mike

Once again thanks for the info Mike, I will order a 4gig sdch card in the next day or so as I do want the GPSW camera & POI's once I get sorted with the map update.

Although there's nothing wrong with that at all, I would just repeat Mike's advise that there's still no need to buy an sd card at all.
As the map you are going to get is for the same region, there is no need to keep them both on the Go at the same time. The map version you will get will still leave plenty of room for both the map and for Camera and other POIs on the internal memory
