When does it happen? When it's on the Mount, or in the hand?

Is the battery fully charged?

It would be helpful if you could tell us anything about how she uses it, etc. as we haven't got a lot to go on. Smile

It could be a duff battery.
Ask them to do a few experiments using it with and without the car charger.

That's sounding more and more like it was just a VERY flat battery.

If it is totally drained it can put such a load on the system that even with external power attached, it needs a few minutes of charging before it will get up and running again.
Having to do a reset is normal in that situation as well, because the program is usually running quietly in the background even when you have switched it "off".

Charge it fully, do a reset, and suggest they keep it charged up whenever possible in the future.

Hi Andy just to let you no that it must be the battery I have sent tomtom an e:mail over it to see if i can get a new battery for it as when it is pluged in all the time it is ok all so mains charger that came with is very good when it is pluged in if you pick it up the charging light goes out.
