Hi, I now have a 920T and have loaded the latest Pocket GPS cameras with voices. I also had installed the TomTom cameras as part of the update process when setting up my new 920T.

Question is should I delete the TomTom files for cameras so as to avoid any conflict, I did take my tomtom out for a test run last night and went past some cameras with no problems.

I did notice some of the basic sound commands were abit unclear like the end of some basic direction commands.
Cheers

Steve

If it was mine i would take out the tomtom cams as they are useless in my eyes and just stick with the ones from here.
Also with two things doing the same thing even though the TT one is not as uptodate as the one from here you are using up memery that you could be using for something else better
Cool Cool

I would try both databases running together for at least two weeks and get a general feel as to the difference, once set up with different warnings it is easy to discern the TT cameras from the PPSW warnings.

Doing this lets you appreciate first hand the quality of the data being offered, after a couple of weeks removal of the inferior offering is easy, I know which database I trust, but it is better you make up your own mind.

If the TomTom cameras are already causing you problems then you can remove the files in total from your unit by following the guides on the FAQ page Here #1 for your back up is most important, then look further down the list to find how to remove the files you no longer require - Mike

Mike's suggestion as a good one, I've always advocated removal of TomTom's but as he suggest leaving it in place for a short period is a great idea.

If anything, TomTom's database is the best advertisement we can have for ours, you will quickly see the difference in quality and be re-assured (if you needed to be) that you made the right choice!

Thanks for the help guys, I have been using TT all day today and came across some cameras, which were diffrent on screen so must be the TT ones, made a ping sound and different icon, which I liked. but so far there have been far more cams from this web site so will stick to these from here in future.....took me 1 day bto realise which were best! Wink

You do know our cameras can have a voice alert don't you? And we have options and much better icons available too, see links below:
