I’ve noticed that some of the newer members of this forum don’t fill out the “location” field of the Profile Information when they register.
Is it possible to force them into filling that information in? If they ask a question, then the physical location of the member may have a bearing on the answer given.
I’m certainly not asking for a full address (I prefer my own privacy as well the next person) but the Country and County/State/Region would be useful.

I quite agree.
If someone asks where the best place to buy a certain piece of equpiment is, it would be nice to at least know what country they live in so the answer could be best tailored to their situation.
The same goes for people in the UK - it would certainly be useful to know what area of the UK they live in when answering questions about local retailers or geographical aspects of that particular town.
It just saves time, instead of having to ask in each post, 'What country/part of the UK are you in?'

Good point, I've answered posts where knowing that snippet of info would have helped in the response. I'll see if we can make that a 'Required' field when registering :D _________________ Darren Griffin |

Anyone else in Alberta?
Hmm, you know, I do intend to take my set up to the UK when I go back there to visit, will it work there or will I need to get different maps?
