I'm getting my new TomTom Go 720 tomorrow ands will, obviously, install the PGPSW speed camera databases.
I'm then planning to sell my PDA with Navigator in it. Should I delete the database from it, or can I pass them on to the new owner please?
Naturally if the answer is Yes, I'll tell him where to go to update it, and if the answer is No, then I'll tell him where to go to get it.
Mainly I don't want to fall foul of the anti-piracy rules.
Thanks

it's safer to remove it. if it subsequently gets shared then you risk losing your subscription as the database is tied to your account.

As MaFt says, whilst we recognise the benefit of the free advertising were you to pass it on, you cannot control what the new owners will do with the database and it has your details tagged into it.
If it were to be shared it would be you who would be held to account and so it is much safer to remove before sale. _________________ Darren Griffin |
